Zscaler: Microsoft Office 365 reduces complexity, but is hampered by old networks

One of the main opponents and elements of slowing down Microsoft Office 365 adoption is a fact that can not be taken for granted: the slowness of the networks and their insufficient setup to support cloud-based apps. Office 365 slowed down by networks: Zscaler's study Companies are confident that moving to Office 365 provides important benefits: 60% think it decreases the complexity of IT, 53% increases the reliability of apps, 50% lowers expenses and 35% promotes cooperation. That's why nearly half of businesses are assessing direct internet connection implementation (which is the strategy proposed by Microsoft) and a third is assessing band control implementation.

These last alternatives would seem necessary because Zscaler, through the Office 365 Migration Survey study, discovered that 63 percent of organisations detect network efficiency issues, with 41 percent of businesses reporting network congestion and elevated latency as a important factor that has a adverse impact on customer experience. Nearly 40% say the need to upgrade gateways to use Office 365 has brought significant delays in Office 365 deployment.

Therefore, the networks presently used by many businesses do not seem to be prepared to deal with user needs evolution, being linked to totally distinct and obsolete models.
