Welcome to ZOO!

Hello everyone!

Today I went with my girlfriend in a Zoo, and I would like to share my photos with you. Zoo is located in the center of Belgrade, nearly the main and the most famous street in Belgrade, Knez Mihailova. I'll tell you a few interesting facts about animals which were the most interesting for us. I will show you here the location, if my photos attract you to visit this beautiful Zoo.

At the very entrance to the zoo we were welcomed by a friendly host with a smile! The visitors fed him with snacks so he was very cheerful. I'll tell you an interesting thing about the elephants-elephants are herbivores, and they spend even 16 hours a day eating plants. Did you know that?

Young foxes stay with their mothers for three years, learning how to fish and how to communicate with other foxes, after 3 years they are looking for their own territory.

Giraffes are realy good-tempered giants! They can grow up to 6 meters, and because of their height, they must spread their legs to reach the ground.

The cheetah belonging to the family of cats,and he is the fastest land animal, which reaches a speed of 0 to 110 km / h in just three seconds.

And there is my favourite animal, American bison! In short, it is very powerful, big and surprisingly fast animal. While running it can reach speeds up to 65 km per hour, which is amazing for the animal of this weight.

Nile horses are one of the weightest land animals, their weight exceeds over 3 tons. When the nile horse opens its mouth, the angle between the upper and lower jaw is almost 150 degrees. In the first year of life, nearly 50 percent cubs of the Nile horse die. Did you know that?

This is a beautiful grizzly bear! They will eat up to 30 fish (mostly salmon) per day when they want to accumulate fat deposits.Cubs stay with their mother 2-4 years, and in that period mother is very protective, if you dare to come close to her cubs she can easily kill you.
