6 Types of Zombies That Will Roam the Earth in the Apocalypse

If you’ve been paying attention to the news recently, you might have heard that scientists have confirmed the existence of a rare chemical called zombie-ism. This means that zombies are more real than we thought, and if the rumors are true, it won’t be long before they overrun our cities and turn us into flesh-eating automatons. (Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.) If the end of the world does come about, though, there are certain zombies you need to be on the lookout for in order to survive.

The Slow Zombie
Slow zombies are the most common type of zombie to exist. They are often easy to outrun and kill, but can be dangerous if they are in packs or attack from a hiding place. Slow zombies have a slower metabolism than humans, which means they don’t need to eat as much and can go for long periods without food. Slow zombies make up about 75% of all zombies roaming on earth today.

The Fast Zombie
Fast zombies are more like the zombies from 28 Days Later, only faster. They can run at speeds up to 50 km/h and have a tendency to move in large packs. This is a major problem for survivors because fast zombies don’t tire out as easily as other types of zombies. Plus, they’re just plain creepy!

The Smart Zombie
A smart zombie is a zombie who has retained some form of intelligence. They are able to think and plan, and will know how to use weapons, as well as how to build. Because they retain their intelligence, they can also learn from their mistakes. This type of zombie poses the greatest threat because they can teach other zombies how to do things, and can even create more intelligent zombies through a process known as zombification.

The Super Zombie
The Super Zombie is the most powerful of all zombies. It has a very fast running speed and is capable of leaping great distances. The Super Zombie also has superhuman strength, which means it can destroy just about anything it touches with little effort. They are intelligent enough to use tools, such as firearms and vehicles, which means they’re even more dangerous than before.

The Infected
The infected are a group of zombies that have been bitten by other zombies. They are not dead, but they will die if they do not receive treatment. Infected individuals can pass on their condition to humans by biting or scratching them. The infection has an incubation period, which is the time between being bitten and showing symptoms. Symptoms include fever, headache, nausea, vomiting blood and pus from the mouth and nose, intense pain, shock and organ failure.

The Undead
The undead are zombies that can only be killed by destroying the brain. They are usually slow-moving, but if they’re hungry they’ll move as fast as they can to get their next meal. There’s a high chance you will run into one on your way out of a grocery store, or when trying to loot the last canned goods from the food pantry. With enough speed and strength behind it, an undead could break through most barricades and open doors with little difficulty. If you see one heading for your barricade, put all your energy into defending yourself because this zombie won’t give up until it has its prey secured between its jaws.
