Top 5 zombie games!!!

Hello everyone, would like to say thanks for the support so far and I wish everyone the best of luck on Steemit, here is my opinion on the top five zombie games, i hope you enjoy.

DEAD ISLAND

The hype built around Dead Island was astonishing. A short promotional film (which effectively announced the game too) was released featuring a little girl's fall from a hotel during the zombie outbreak; it was shot in reverse chronology and generated an incredible amount of interest in the game, both due to the controversial subject and the style of the trailer.

DAYZ

There's a near endless list of PC mods that became separate, standalone titles and DayZ has very recently made the jump. Starting out life as an incredibly popular mod for ultra-realistic military simulator ARMA 2, DayZ is set during a zombie apocalypse with one simple goal: survive. While other games might challenge you to survive whilst completing a story or a quest, DayZ literally throws you into a zombie infested area with no tasks or goals to accomplish. Instead, exploration is key to DayZ's immense popularity. Your character constantly needs food and water to live as well as medical equipment (bandages, blood packs) for they are injured. On top of that, ammo and guns are a necessity (obviously, the world's overrun by zombies) so you're constantly driven to explore every building in sight.

DEAD RISING GAMES

Remember earlier when the range of weaponry used in Zombies Ate My Neighbors had a clear influence on another game? Dead Rising is that game; it takes the concept of silly weapons and runs riot with it. Dead Rising is set in a shopping mall literally infested with zombies; thanks to the power of the Xbox 360 hundreds of zombies were rendered on screen at once. Zombie hordes had never looked so jam-packed, and even better the mall was full of weapons to kill them. Chainsaws and guns are pretty standard fare for zombie-based films and games; but plastic lightsabers and stacks of CDs? Perfect.

COD WAW ZOMBIES

Starting life out as a mini-game, Nazi Zombies quickly became as popular as Call of Duty's main multiplayer mode (no easy feat), simply due to its addictive gameplay. The first map - Nacht Der Untoten - is as basic as the mode gets, but thanks to four player co-op and a leaderboard system, the thrill of reaching a new highest round never got old. It was through the maps added via downloadable content that the mode became seriously good; each adding a new gameplay feature that added to the challenge: Zombie Verruckt added perk machines; Shi No Numa added special zombie rounds (namely the Hellhounds); and Der Riese introduced teleporters and the Pack-A-Punch Machine, allowing players to upgrade their weapons to a more powerful (and more awesome) form. There were other thrills to be found in the form of the Mystery Box; spending points on it would spawn a random weapon, including ones not found on the map originally. This was also the only way to acquire the highly coveted Ray Gun, arguably the most powerful weapon in the game. The addiction may have worn off over time but Nazi Zombies is still one of the most entertaining zombie modes of all time; not bad for a post-credits mini-game.

STATE OF DECAY

For my final favourite game i chose state of decay.There are plenty of underrated gems on the Xbox Live Arcade but State Of Decay deserves a special mention for the sheer scope of its design. You might find yourself comparing it to DayZ constantly but State Of Decay has plenty of great ideas of its own. For example, it features a great base-building mechanic; something that's often overlooked in survival games. There are several locations to build your base up from and finding materials to upgrade and expand your home is great motivation to get out into the world and explore. There are also plenty of missions and storylines to complete, allowing you to interact with the various communities in the game world and build relations.
