MY DRAWING: Meet Zeus the blind owl

This is all about an art journey, art making and learning art. I started drawing way back 2013 but i stopped and this year I am back with a better purpose for my art. I decided to be a wildlife artist. Its just so sad to hear animals being killed and abused for fun or for fur, their horns and tusks. A little more love for them goes a long way. Heres a drawing of Zeus the blind owl. He is a screech owl unfortunately he was born blind, but he was rescued and we are able to see this miracle. very inspiring! A family discovered him at their front porch, then he was given at a reserve at 2012 where he was nursed back to health. He only has 10% of his vision and cannot be returned to the wild.
He appears not to have an iris or a pupil, and in his eyes are floaters and jelly that reflect the light which give the effect of a galaxy scene to his eyes.
The colored pencils I am using is mitsubishi japan uni no. 888, not bad at all! I drew this starting with the eyes pastel color violet then adding on shades of blue and blue green by layers and leaving out small circles for the star like reflections of its eyes. the feathers I did stroke by stroke. It looks tiring but its very enjoyable.
