The design team of digital currency of zcash plans to carry out a row of updates of a network next year, according to the diagram published yesterday.

The author of the blog zcash, the co-founder Zuko Vilkoks and the executive technical director Nathan Vilkoks explicitly described two sign up-datings – "Overwinter" and "Sapling", – last of which was specified also in a diagram update at the beginning of this year. According to a post in the blog, the purpose of the upgrade planned for the next year consists in "further increase in level of efficiency, safety and stability of zcash."

The first upgrade package of Overwinter, shall be launched in June, 2018, according to the diagram. As they say in a post, the purpose of this product in "increase in safety of this up-dating and all subsequent for users, even in case of any disagreements in the organization of control." Having shed a little light on current situation, Vilkoks told that in the subsequent messages of the blog he will tell about schedulable updates in more detail.

The second product which shall be launched in September is intended for the Sapling protocol of the same name which task in increase in efficiency of the private closed transactions with cryptocurrencies.

Vilkoksa write:

"Sapling activates up-dating of the Sapling protocol, having launched commands of scale improving of such parameters as time and memory, for the closed transactions, doing feasible support of mobile purses. Besides, parameters of an open involvement Powers of Tau are involved in Sapling that in many respects reduces fears about the risks connected to installation of parameters for applications of zkSNARK (including other applications in addition to Zcash)."

In a post the assumption that in the long term, perhaps, also other updates, including increase in functionality for smart contracts and a protection algorithm study by the "confirmation of a share" method will be executed is also expressed.

"New opportunities expand scales of application and allow to execute almost unlimited number of transactions, to use innovative algorithms of reaching consensus, such as protection algorithm by the "confirmation of a share" method and also private and changeable smart contracts," write Vilkoksa.
