In the War of Liberation Sherpur, British India was liberated from British rule in 1947, divided into two regions namely Hindustan and Pakistan. At that time, the responsibility of supervising the center was on Abdul Mutaleb (later Shahid). The shelter center was opened in different educational institutions in the thana areas. April 15, 1971. Madhupur's resistance was broken. So it was first removed and placed at Digipay in Jamalpur and then in the Sherpur Charanchal. On April 20, the invading army fiercely defended the helicopter from the helicopter. It killed 13 military and civilians. Sara Sherpur panic spread. People flee the city and flee to the village. Sherpur occupied the bases with the arson, looting and killing of the Nari zamindar house (now the Deputy Commissioner's Office). Meanwhile, two people named Mustafa and Bulbul were martyred. Many people, including the bread seller Ahmed Ali, the priest of Shani Bihagra temple, and Subrata Bhattacharya, were not known. On the same day, Handaar Bahini was shot dead in Jhaghra village by the assailant Chaututhal Karua, Nipu Saha, Mahendra Dey, who along with 8 people were shot and killed. Within a week, the invading forces established a strong base in each of the Thana Sadar areas along the border bases. Ahmad Nagar of Jhenyigat was the army of Pak occupiers, headquarters. After the liberation war started in Tura, Mahendrganj, Dalu, and training of the freedom fighters in sector 11, the Pakistani occupation forces started mass killing in some places. Jogatpur massacre, Nakugao Dalu massacre, Sohagpur massacre, Nokshi war and genocide, Narayan open war and genocide respectively; Last November 24th, the freedom fighters and many civilians were killed in the mass killing of Sherpur Sadar upazila in Sherpur Sadar upazila.
