Steem / sbd to Fiat Exchange Survey!

in #zappl7 years ago (edited)

Zappl inc is taking this very serious and need to gather data on users who might be interested in what we want to do. As you can tell from the post's tittle we're looking into possibly making an exchange. We feel as a company the services it could bring to the market could bring the price of steem up. But it could also give the ability for merchant services as well for steem related sites.

I know some people wonder would this site have more then just steem and sbd?

The plan is to have many fiat trading pairs as well a few altcoins like eth ltc and btc.

So please vote on this poll we have made on twitter and share it with people:

Hello Zappl Team,

I am a very large holder of Zappl (top 10) and have friends in the top 10 as well.

I believe your idea has strong merit (integrating an exchange) however think about the following.

Business is war.

What do I mean?

It is better to offer an Alpha of the product fast, gain some marketshare, mindshare, network effect, etc out there.

You have the opportunity to DESTROY Twitter. In my humble opinion (as an Internet Webmaster for the last 15 years), release your product as fast as possible (obviously with no one able to hack in) and then refine it. Your layouts are great just release it and integrate other features later.

Dont get distracted.

Just my 2 cents.

Oh were not getting distracted no worries about that this is something that would launch after zappl. Its more of less gauging peoples interest in having the ability to transfer funds to fiat. Its proper to get data before you decide to move forward.

The dream would be that people don't need to pull in and out of fiat using zappl :)

What would be the value proposition if you added this feature from the competition? Would be a legal mess I imagine... Unless you have a lot of experience in that area in your team.

Ok great

100% - We need this app out asap. No distractions if possible.

😰😰

Great idea, large undertaking.

Not so large the exchange is the easy part x[]
Its just where you want to start it and legal requirements.

Uhhh, yes of course.. if any crypto needs a debit card it would be Steem, the only one that non-nerds can earn crypto then be able to spend it too.

Yeah it would help a lot some users say.

It would be nice not to have to deal with bitcoin

Yes this is true

+1 Agreed, If it does not have value that is easily accessed, participation becomes pointless. I say this as a developer myself. Truth be told, we're a pretty lazy bunch (in a sense at least).

Steem needs a debit card very badly. We have a quarter million users getting paid out in SD with no easy way to spend it without going through exchanges and Bitcoin. This is slowly adoption down big time.

Yeah it can kinda slow it down with the middle men fiat trades make it one fee instead of coins to btc or altcoin then to fiat. It would make it easier just to be able to change it to fiat with one fee.

crypto to fiat via debit card is a winning game to make it mainstream so people can spend their hard earn money in their local shop. It will be great if Zappl can work with Blockpay or Blocktrades to see if this can easily be done. Many things are going good there and we can combine those effort. Ocash (from OpenLedger) also working to bring crypto physical. I will love us to have like gifts card loaded with some Steem or SBD so that we can give as gift to family members and friends.

Your idea sounds very interessting

Yeah the services you can bring with a fiat pair is pretty good.

Everyone vote "Yes" on this please. Me and friends of mine have recently got our selfs a BitPay card. This works pretty well for Steem/SBD but involves trading to BTC prior to getting it onto the card. These transactions require at least 2 BTC transactions which means 2 fees. If we could convert Steem or SBD to fiat for a Visa card for example there would be no extra fees except for the fees for the card... hopefully there wont be any or very little. This is a win/win if you consider the value. Especially with how many people are creating Steemit accounts now. The creator of the card has more room to make money b/c of the lack of transactions fees and our willingness to use this b/c we wont be double or triple charged for moving our money. Thank you.

Yeah it something that would have to be looked over for sure. Yeah steem and sbd sales wouldn't really cost all that much but it depends on the exchange.

I think that's great idea, if this can happen we can pitch steemit to people more efficiently, that way more people will attarct to steem

Yeah it could be a decent way to get more people involved the less steps they have to take to get to fiat.

Just voted yes

I will have to say no. I don't want fiat and to protect users you probably should stay away from it. Cheers, can't wait for launch!

Thanks for your opinion.

I will vote on twitter..definitely yes.

Glad to hear it!

Would this include paypal? Because that would be epic.

Yes dropping it into Paypal would make my life easier.

That would be interesting that's for sure.
