It's been down for maintenance since ages, whatever happens there with SBD is incredibly misleading. Welcome to crypto wild west, where conclusions are drawn faster than Billy the Kid draws his guns.
It would be nice if the pump from HitBTC pushed up the price on some other exchanges this time, but since it's currently not open for deposits/withdrawals there, I have my doubts. Thanks for the update though!
Nope. Hit BTC spiked to $30
Yeah I noticed this too, crazy I wonder what happened.
And HitBTC deposit/withdrawl of STEEM/SBD is down for maintenance.

Hey man how's it going!
Hey man, don't tell anyone I'm back on Steem during working hours, my boss specifically told me to cut that out...
I'm doing fine, just not really active with blog posts. How have you been?
I like SBD pump, I just wish I didn't bought my Steem Monsters packs with SBD around 2$ few days ago :-)
Is it a new coin there? This is strange.
Nah, their SBD wallet is "down", so its just whats on the exchange.

nope its some off the wall trading on HitBTC
The trade volume on SBD is just horrible as well nearly all off if is Korea
Boooo..!
I thought this was gonna be the right time to get some steem power
Darnit
Haha I was thinking the same thing!
I'm telling you
Too bad it's not reflecting that in the internal market!
No kidding. I went to roll my sbd to SP....alas, still the same price as before.
Why doesn’t it show the same on Bittrex ?
Because the pump is only happening on HitBTC, and it seems like the price pump is not affected in other places.
Big buys on a specific exchange that is not Bittrex.
Darn.
SBD wallets on hitbtc are frozen for about half a year.
