Banana extinction event resolved?

Bananas as we know them are threatened with extinction by the deadly TR-4 pathogen. Thankfully, scientists found the resistant gene in another species, put into common banana - positive results! Bananas may be saved!

    Good news indeed. Panama has a huge Chiquita banana farm. Complete with their own containers and ships. A Major employer here for sure.
