This is my entry for the ZapFic Writing Contest for Week 93 using the prompt: finger.
Deb woke to a sound she heard before but couldn't quite put her finger on it.
Snap, crackle, pop!
Her bare feet on the frigid floor reminded her of the previous night's weather report.
Tree branches were being freed from their ice restraints.
