Maheri
Wash the rice thoroughly and keep it soaking.
Now put ghee in a pressure cooker and put it on a medium flame to heat. As soon as it becomes warm, add asafoetida, cumin and fenugreek, then add turmeric and salt to it and add twice the amount of rice.
- Cook this mixture until it boils.
- Then put buttermilk in it, keep stirring butter in medium flame.

Now add roasted rice and oatmeal and mix it well. - Cook the lid of cooker and cook till 2 whistles. (If you are making porridge maher, apply 4 whistles and if you are making millet then apply 6 whistles.)
- Open the cooker and walk Maheri well.
Serve hot Maheri with ethics and papad.
