When and who uploaded the first video to youtube?
Jawed Karim was the first person who uploaded “Me at the zoo” video to YouTube on 23rd April, 2005 at 3:27:12 UTC. Jawed Karim, being an Internet businessman, employed at PayPal. He was also a co-founder of YouTube. The video was made by Yakov Lapitsky, a high school friend of Karim, and released on YouTube with the username “jawed” created on the same day.
The video shot in front of the elephants at the San Diego Zoo has been able to obtain more than 48 million views. Watch this 19 seconds video which is popular as the first video released on YouTube.
