Keni Going Steady With Steemit.. looking back at YouTube history!

So last post I was talking about our shift from producing less vlogs to writing more blogs. I mean I've been with YouTube for years, this is our third channel together and we've already had a tumultuous relationship. The sinking of our YouTube channel under waves of censorship and demonetization, directly contrasted by the sexy Steem Dreams and opportunities over here.

Things were never the same after Google and Adsense moved in, it's awkward. Like we're still living with each other and use each other for things, it's just not comfortable and we don't agree anymore. Yesterday I got new flags for old content, they constantly change the goal posts on creators and I just got a new community strike for content they had already accepted me for in the past wtf?

So now we're contributing to Steemit on a regular basis and life over here feels good, we can post freely again and market value is ever on the up 'n' up! Sure we will all exist together for now, but let's not kid ourselves.. I'm not in love with YouTube anymore. They keep accusing me of not being advertiser friendly, it's all on me and that's ok, for now. Steemit gets me though.

One of the best things about new relationships is getting to know each other. It's been great learning more about our Steemian friends and connecting with so many like-minded people. It's an exciting place to be, so when we started hanging out here we just hit the ground running. Kai was about to be born and it was the most wonder filled time of our lives. We shared life in the moment and ever since then we've only posted about the joys of becoming parents and life in Thailand here and now.

But wait there's more..

Since re-upping the archives and reminiscing on these community strikes. The Adpocalypse, algorithm changes, demonetization and Steemit.com standing alone as our one libertarian oasis of freedom. Well I figured it's time to make the most of the library that is acceptable on Youtube. Many of our new friends here have no idea of my backstory and I don't like feeling as if I'm hiding anything.

So allow me to re-introduce myself, my name is Keni and before investing in cryptocurrency; before becoming a parent and before moving to Thailand. I used to make porn movies, a lot.. and I used to live a completely different life than I do now. I know we value original content here and I'll do my best not to double post things I've already shared. I just feel revisiting my past through writing allows me to express insights that will be exclusive to my Steemit audience.

This was my second ever video blog featuring my Romanian friend Jasmine Black, my first vlog ever is lost somewhere in the interwebs. This one was completely unplanned, back in 2009 I'd been living in Budapest for a few months and I'd only just found out about YouTube. It was this super awkward place full of bedroom vloggers and had zero ads. It felt a bit like how Steemit is today, a cool place for any everyday peoples to share their lives and broadcast whatever they liked. It had a great community and I feel that was what inspired me to pick up a camera and start vlogging my life. Back then I had no idea it would become such a huge thing in my life.
