YouTube Kids现支持Android与iOS两个平台，iOS 技持相当广泛，只要是 iOS 7.0 之后的 iPhone、iPod touch 与 iPad 都可使用；Android 方面，除了手机端和官方表示將会在儿童专用平板 Kurio 与 nabi 的支持外，其它Android平板与TV端都不支持

，太可惜了。YouTube Kids提供适宜儿童相关影音与学习內容，并可以让家长掌控小朋友的观看时间，禁止搜索和音量设置等。界面部分也特別设计成适合小孩触控与操作的可爱按钮与图标，减低操控的难度，无需家长每次亲自操作，它可是家长哄小朋友的一大工具，同时又是一件放心的视频播放软件。

长久以来对家长来说视频APP就像是一把双面刃，虽然上面有很多很适合小孩子看的内容，不过也有很多不宜儿童观赏的影片，同时也没有一个有效管理小孩子观赏影片的方式。而YouTube Kids 就能为家长们省去不少烦恼啦，虽然Google没有明确的标示适合使用这个YouTube Kids应用的小孩年龄范围，我觉得2-8 岁的小孩是其潜在的用户。

而此应用也特别为家长们订立了特殊的家长监控功能，让家长们能调整小孩们能观看影片的时间，如果小孩子观看影片超过规定时间的话，小孩子们就不能拨放任何的影片，除非家长把规定时间调高。小孩一般建议互次观看不超过30分钟。

家长们甚至可以设置是否许可使用搜索功能，让小孩子们不能搜索影片，只能看YouTube挑选过的适合小孩子观看的影片。该应用程式共有四个主要页面，包括推荐、节目、音乐、学习与探索，上面都有常见的国外优秀儿童动画片，比喻：花园宝宝、粉红猪小妹，托马斯与他的朋友（与国内版本不同，国内版本火车头不会说话的）等等，并且全是英文原版。同时还可以分学前、学后或都全部三个年龄段，还可以对一些字幕大小，声音等做事先设置。如果你家里有一个安卓机顶盒，还可以投射到大电视上与小朋友一起观看。

音乐频道全都是一些儿童歌曲与舞蹈，可以在歌曲中学习英文与舞蹈，还有游戏方式，而不是那种“爸爸的爸爸叫爷爷，爸爸的妈妈叫奶奶”那种，因为这个根本不需要学，日常中就可以学到了的，我想没有小孩不会叫奶奶爷爷的吧。也不是那种小朋友模仿大成跳街舞的那种。

节目频道就是一些优秀的动画片推荐，完全可以放心让小朋友自已点击播看，我曾试过不搜索直接在上面推荐视频的里找，没有一部不适合小朋友的，就连我这个大人都喜欢看。当然，如果搜索还是可以搜索出一些不适宜的动画片，如下面这张图片。

当然，我并不是想说这部动片画不好，而是它不适合学前的小朋友观看，特别是里面有一些片段。所以我一般都会限止小朋友搜索，他在上面挑选喜欢看的，然后让YouTube Kids推荐一些相关的视频。

探索频道里的视频挺有手艺与科学性，教你如何做手工？做一些简单易学的实验，还有怎样玩玩具等，培训小朋友的思考与动手能力。我家姐姐挺喜欢看这个频道的。

学习频道可以一些让你喜欢上学习的视频，在游戏中教你算数，学习英文字母与单字等等，还可以让小朋友知道车是怎样构成的，还可以引导小朋友的思维与学习。真是良心之作呀。

像这个，教你做手工，告诉你需要一些什么的工具，如何一步步去做，下面就是相类似的视频推荐。当缓冲完成后视频会自动全屏，轻轻一点又恢复现在这种界面。是不是特别适合小朋友的操作思维呢？

这是一部教你如何纸花的，就算是家长看了后跟着一步步做也可以做出美丽的纸花。

其实我在之前几篇文章里都提到这一APP，今天单独写一篇文章与大家分享是觉得真的应该给一些有小孩的家长普及一下，像上面腾讯视频APP你放心让小朋友使用吗？就算是里面的少儿与动漫频道也令人不放心呀。
