Deertaur || A Positive Update

Sorry my posting has been sporadic, the stress of my computer dying has gotten to me and I've been more focused on getting it fixed than posting regularly. However, on that note, I have nearly all the parts that I need to rebuild my computer! All I'm missing is a new (compatible) tower, which shouldn't take too long.

In the meantime; This is a piece that I'm really proud of, if only because of how it's developed over time. You can see what the original idea was, but you can also see where i went with it.

While originally this was meant to be a centaur, the idea of a deertaur fit Jade much better. Jade is much more skittish an shy. On top of that change, I also wanted to drop the darkling aspect, as well as the elf. Instead I wanted darker, more foresty skin, as well as fluffy doe ears.

This versions more based off my Vena El'ni verse, as I saw it more fitting given the wildlife aspect of the piece. Though I'm mostly proud of the background however, I wanted to mimic the focus effect that cameras can create, so I used a very light brush and kept the edges fuzzy, using darker trees for the background due to them being further from the light.
