Why it's dangerous for a liberal YouTuber to give their political views

in #youtube7 years ago

Youtube is the best site to have a platform. It's where great YouTubers like PewDiePie and Shane Dawson made their name high on the internet. It is a site where you can share your opinion via video on any topic you want to talk about.

When you are a liberal Youtuber, your content may be very open. Talking about acceptance on different views and yes, you may get some hate but you will also get a lot of love.

The problem, however, is when you create a video with a narrative targeting a political party, more so, a figure.

In this case, the President of the United States, Donald Trump.

It's cool that you don't like him, that's fine. But it is not cool once you start listing the reasons why you don't like him using sources from the liberal mainstream that are biased against him or is fake.

Once you start making a video saying your thoughts on the "Muslim Ban" or how you are scared that the LGBTQ will be exterminated now that he is president, you are no better than the fake news.

When your source is just liberal outlets like Buzzfeed, Huffington Post, CNN, etc. who have an agenda to attack anything and everything Trump does, of course, you will see everything negative about him which, therefore; you will always talk negatively about him.

Youtuber, Lily Singh tweeting how the presidency will disappoint the LGBTQ and minority people? Claiming on her Vlog that Trump is racist, sexist. Did she watch the full Trump rally videos or just what Buzzfeed posts? Seriously guys, if I didn't watch the full videos but from the liberal outlets, even I will think he is racist.

Youtubers Karim, and Adam Saleh whose plane prank video became so viral hitting over 800K RTs in just one day. It became yet another reason for the mainstream media to attack Trump's foreign policy which reminds the internet how "hateful" Trump is.

Tyler Oakley showing his support for Hillary Clinton to his viewers. Yeah bud, Donald Trump didn't receive money from Saudia Arabia that kills homosexuals but please, keep on smiling.

So if any of you YouTubers reads this, think about this. You were born in the late 80s and 90s, and at that time, Donald Trump was huge. He helped so many people out but oh no, keep telling your viewers how much he is a racist, sexist guy because of these clips the liberal media shows you. Keep it up. I think you guys are very creative and can go bigger than you think. I just wonder if you would accept a person like me for having different views than you.

Well, I can't watch anymore. This is a very sad day and I am utterly disappointed. LGBTQ+, POC, women, muslims & disabled people, be strong.
