Youtube VS Steemit
Youtube VS Steemit
So Ive been watching youtube vids for years. It has always been a valuable source of information and gathering opinions from different people. Whenever I'm intrigued or want to learn something new I just youtube it.
To take steps further I like to read the comments, just to see if its helpful. Usually people like to give there advice on the subject and its sometimes more helpful than the actual video I'm watching. But in between the comments I see
"You need to lose some weight! Youre fat!"
Or something like..
"This video is trash"
Ive seen it more and more again and Youtube seems to not care about what is going on on their platform.
I have been on Steem for less than a week and my god its like night and day in my opinion. Its always constructive comments and its seems as though the way its setup is if youre constructive and helpful and post good quality content your follwers will increase therefore increasing your potential payout. This structure seems like it weeded out the trash.
I was never a content creator for youtube so I have no say on which platform pays their content creators more, but everyday I see more and more people transitioning from youtube to Steemit and Im sure theyre not transitioning for no reason.
Hopefully I can be a viable asset to this community and pass my knowledge and information to others.
@db-production fair points, although I feel the trolls will come as this community grows or maybe not... one can dream haha

I came to steemit because I was fed up with Youtube ghosting my comments. Just about all my comments would disappear on a video when I logged out. I guess they didn't agree with my views, its not like I was just being mean--although the mean ones don't seem to have any problem at all on YT.
Best part is that a good comment even has a chance to earn a little something something and that is fantastic. Most of what I do is comment. lol. I would get into very long discussions on Youtube and then all that work just vanishes. Turned on ad blocker ever since I found that out.
Steemit is my new favorite site and I have also noticed that the culture here is very different as well.
