Visited the Japanese Gardens in Ft Worth

While my other half was working at the school, I took the chance to go to the Japanese Gardens. I had an 18-55mm, and a 70-300mm lens that I wanted for so long to take there coupled with a more professional quality camera body. The temperature started out on the slightly warm side to an incredible 100+ degree temp by the end of the trip. I turned the new camera loose in there and these are some of the results that I got for my sweat and trouble.

Lovely coy. The main water features of the park were filled with healthy and well kept fish.

Most of the critters here were taken with the 70-300mm Nikkor AF. It's an older lens, but man does it get you in close.
I will post more of the other shots I took in another post tomorrow. These were taken on a Nikon D70 camera of yesteryear. Newer is not always better.
