RE: Epidemy Of Blastocytis Hominis in La Isla de coche Because of water supplies Metronidazol is needed.

in #youarehope6 years ago

Sounds like a terrible situation. Water treatment plants are a LOT of money, but maybe for only 100 people, much simpler water purification can be worked out? Even a portable device could make enough drinking water for a household.

Do you have ANY kind of cost estimates for this fundraiser that gives us any idea of if we can even make a dent, with the modest donations we get from minnows mostly?

We really need an interested whale or two, but they seem more interested in bot investments than human ones.

Let me know more about the specifics of the requirements here. I cannot operate on something this vague, even as tragic as the situation sounds to be.

Blastocytis treatment is just a start of the project.

runing water, black water treatment , electric energy supplies , medicine supplies, nothing get here anymore because of the lack of boats.

Are you ON this island? How would we get an Agent of HOPE there, with supplies and make all this work, if no one will go there (lack of boats) and this sounds really, really expensive....

Only the oil for the boats is 3 $ per day to do 1 travel every hour.
Starting at 6 am and ending 4 pm.

but they earn that MONTHLY so no one of the owner's of the boats are willing to sail.

they sell their services to hotels and business owners only.

OK, I am still trying to get to a total amount.

Based on what you just said, you could get to the mainland to buy things and bring them back, for about $6 round trip?

And what supplies are most critical? medicine? drinking water? food?

Getting into solar power and water production for 100+ people is way beyond what YAH can afford, because we simply dont get the level of donations and delegations to support anything that big.

The boat ride and perhaps some basic emergency bottle water or maybe some basic meds if they dont cost a fortune, would be a starting place. Not sure if that would help much or not, but we just don't have a ton of "cash flow" in the charity when people are hoarding steem/sbd because of the low prices, which also means what we do have is only also worth low prices...

Yes It is posible to do that, may be weekly it would be a start, and for the water 50 $ would be sufficient to pay the water trucks to stop selling for one day to the hotels and supply water to the houses.

Yes I'm Here since 2 weeks ago, and is not really that expensive, it depends in how willing is the people to help agents could come easy, is not really expensive for people that dont earn 3$ per month, if is only gonna be supplies, now if we are talking about the water plants :) well ... it would be something to think about.

I need specific information about the amount of steem or sbd it would take to solve say, one or two main problems (not counting the water plants, I think thats WAY bigger than we can handle)

Well the problem is that all water supplies come or used to come in boats to this island and it doesnt supplie enough for all the habitants here, so they store water in oxidated tanks and the ones that can and have water tanks sell the water is elevated and unpaible prices ...
