An Emergency Visit To David Thompson's Basic School Phase 1... Helping Through SteemitKidsWorld
My team and I visited the DAVID THOMPSON BASIC SCHOOL and we were astonished with most of the things we saw and heard from the school's headmaster Mr David.
The headmaster outlined a lot of difficulties they were facing in the school with the children, teachers and parents as a whole.
While we were there Mr David called one of his students so we deeply understand what was going on and that was when I got marveled and sad. In fact it was heart breaking, even though I was not that surprised due to the nature of the school structure and also the things I have seen when I started this very organization.
This little boy had no shoes on, his school uniforms were tarted. It was so sad and heartbreaking... I had a long conversation with him and I asked him whether he had eating since morning and he responded with a sad voice saying "Unless I get home then I eat". wow I asked myself whether I have eating this morning... And I shook my head because if I have eating or you reading this have eating then how much more this little boy.
I decided to give the little boy 5gh cedis which is equivalent to $1 dollar so he could get some food to buy and eat.

The Headmaster had a lot of words with us and pleaded to us to help them out due to the lack of lots of things the school will be needing and also due to that most kids are out of school because they can not afford to pay the fees and teachers barely come to school due to the lack of financial support to pay them off when their time is due to be payed.
Its very heartbreaking of all I had and saw... I will be updating you on more problem faced by DAVID THOMPSON'S BASIC SCHOOL in my next post. Thanks for reading, please don't read alone...
