Somewhere in Africa, Ghana, Eastern region-Miawani
"Sharing is caring". I really understood this statement when I made a trip with a non-profit organization called As I Grow to Miawani. The town is situated in the eastern region and it is made up of about seven hundred inhabitants. The main occupation in this town is subsistence farming. Miawani is about five kilometers away from the main street and it’s a pathway that leads to the towns. We walked for about three hours and crossed one river before getting to the town.

What really amazed me was the state of their school Building and the Level of education. There were only two classrooms and their education ends at class three. The classes one, two and three are in one room and the nursery one and two are also in the other room learning the same thing. They have only two teachers and a headmaster who also assists in the teaching and learning process. According to the headmaster, school closes whenever the rain shows signs of falling.

We donated books, marker boards, footballs, pens, pencil and erasers to the school. I promised to return to help them change the state of their school building.

I really felt so sad as I never knew places like this existed.
