How to release anger with Yoga

Although anger is an invisible feeling, its force and consequences are so strong that can destroy years of efforts of humans and God alike.

Could anger ever be a good thing? Νo, if the same results can be brought with other more peaceful methods.

Besides, anger is often confused for creative fever, an impulsive force resulting from the inability of people to control their instinct to create and express themselves in order to improve the present and build a better future.

Anger is a destructive, negative and usually pointless force, while creative fever is the source of inspirational creativity.

Yoga offers two ways to help individuals conquer the paralyzing and literally irrational power of anger:

1) Yogis can get daily practice with anger-targeted exercises and poses. In this way, the body, the mind and the soul become better prepared to fight the insidious enemy of anger for longer periods of time, as a result of this type of regular exercise.

2) Yogis can learn how to handle anger effectively, on the spot, through meditation and breathing techniques.

Both methods can be (and should be) combined for best results.

Finally, no matter what yoga poses you choose to assist you in your personal anger-fighting journey, you should not hold anger inside you, thinking that it will subside with time. Repressed anger can become a retardant bomb and when it explodes its force will be even greater than that of impulsive, instantaneous anger. Just try to let it go peacefully through the healing methods of yoga.
