"We are what we eat" what about my stomach? The digestive fire #ayurveda

When we say "WE ARE WHAT WE EAT", we are aware of the importance of the stomach as our organ that generates health?

When we feel tired, weak in general and in our muscles, and diseases
such as prolapse, bad digestion, slow and heavy, hemorrhoids,
irritable bowel, overweight due to excess of fats, cholesterol, memory problems, lack of concentration, feeling confused, and other similar symptoms we should take them as a warning that our stomach needs our attention, care and cleaning. To our car, house, etc. we do controls, maintenance, choose the best naphtha, oil, painting, etc ... and for our bodies, organs, systems of working, what's with that?

What happens with our stomach energy?

Those of us who do Yoga know that the "Prana" universal energy we absorb through the chakras and the pranayamas, we can through our practices concentrate that energy in certain organs converting that physical work into a massage for our viscera, we irrigate the area of oxygenated blood, and so many other benefits!

But what about those who are not Yoga practitioners, who are sedentary, etc ... should know that stomach energy is food for a healthy life, is the care that we should all do ourselves; "If the Stomach is strong the individual will have good health, but if the Stomach is weak the individual will not have good health." (Zhang Jie Bin), simple and concise phrase, don´t you think?

The stomach is the organ that processes the food we eat and the liquids with the spleen organ. They are responsible for extracting from these foods and liquids what our system needs to function well and thus be able to produce the blood and energy we need in our lives.

According to Ayurveda, the AGNI is the digestive power, the biological
fire that governs the metabolism (we return to the importance of our
stomach and a correct functioning of its functions such as digestion).

That digestive fire is the guardian and protector of the bodily integrity of the human being.

In addition, Ayurveda considers that AMA is the product of the accumulation of toxins, undigested food and retention of waste products, due to the presence of an altered digestive AGNI. The AMA blocks, the abosrción of the food with the consequent affectation of the bodily tissues and appearance of diseases like arthritis, allergies, cancer, etc ... (AMA = toxins).

AMA develops when AGNI functions are delayed, but overactive AGNI is also detrimental. When AGNI is overactive, the digestive process burns because of excessive combustion of normal biological nutrients in food, which causes weakness. This condition also reduces the body's immune capacity.
