Yamunotri - The First Point of Chota Chaar Dhaam Yatra In India

Chaar Dhaam Yatra in India is very famous journey that each Indian tried to complete once in a lifetime. However, there is a Chota Chaar Dhaam yatra in Uttrakhand. The starting point of this chota chaar dhaam yatra is Yamunotri, the other three are Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. I went Yamunotri as a part of my True Wanderer Journey and explored the nearby places. Yamunotri is considered as the origin of Yamuna and it is where the Goddess Yamuna Idol is kept for six months as during rest of the months, the Idol is kept at kharsali due to heavy snowfall.
