It is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19, "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?" Many assume this means, Yah has no further need for a physical Temple. But ye do err, not knowing Scriptures.

Through Ezekiel, He revealed the blueprints for the future Temple destined for the messianic era, telling him, "Son of man, describe the temple to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and let them measure the plan [Eze 43:10]." You can acquaint yourselves with His plans for the physical Temple in chapters 40-42 of the prophet's book.

When the second Temple was built, it fell short of Ezekiel's vision. This is because Yah was showing him the final Temple. The one that will endure for as long as man is on earth!

So what does this mean? If we are the temples of the Spirit, why is there any need for a physical building? This one should be a no brainer for Christians, but surprisingly, they are the head ones who are confounded.

Yes, our bodies are temples, or vessels for the Holy Spirit. But this wasn't a new development that took place after Yeshua was crucified. Humans were serving as vessels since the very beginning. Moses and the seventy elders were temples for the Spirit.

"And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him [Moses], and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease." Numbers 11:25

So were all other holy men and women before Yeshua. In fact, Luke's account of the Gospel bears witness of a man called Simeon, who was undoubtedly a temple for the Spirit, when Yeshua was yet a little baby.

"And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him." Luke 2:25

But this didn't stop Yah for commanding Moses to erect Him a tabernacle and later Solomon, a proper Temple building. This didn't stop Simeon from seeking the LORD at His Temple in Jerusalem. This is because, while our bodies are supposed to be temples, we are also commanded to assemble ourselves, before Him.

Christians follow this commandment by gathering mainly in churches. There are many churches and some of them have a couple branches. In cases like these, there's always one head church over the other branches.

During the Messianic era, the commandment to assemble ourselves before Yah will no doubt be still in effect.

"And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD." Isaiah 66:23

Meeting places will be established throughout Israel, the Middle East and all over the world. However, there will be one central place of worship, from which the word of Yah will proceed from; Jerusalem.

"..For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem." Isaiah 2:3

As commanded by Yah, all Israelite men will be required to appear before Him in Jerusalem at least three times a year.

"Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty." Deuteronomy 16:16

While Gentile nations will have to make the journey at least once a year.

"And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles." Zechariah 14:16-19

And from Isaiah, we know Yah will have a physical house in Jerusalem, where we will assemble.

"Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people." Isaiah 56:7

Having a central place of worship is what Yah wants and will prevent any confusion, with diverse doctrines and people will know exactly where to go if they need to inquire of Him. So even though our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit, there will still be a Temple building for us to congregate before.
