The XYO Network is a company that intends to provide accurate location data to their subscribers. The importance of location data is becoming more pronounced in the digital age that we live in. Almost everything that is in touch with tech requires the use of location data to provide appropriate services. The need for accurate location data also arises from the fact that the existing systems can be compromised which leads to inaccurate location data provision and the results of this can be catastrophic as location data touches some of the most fundamental services such as emergency response. XYO plans to use the transparency and security of blockchain technology together with their devices to provide accurate information through their platform and support services that heavily rely on accurate location data.

For XYO, the use of smart contracts will differ from the normal usage. Most of the smart contracts are designed to interact with online platforms and data but none is really designed to interact with the physical world. XYO will make it possible for developers to design smart contracts with will interact with edge nodes. With online data, ascertaining their legitimacy is easier but with physical data, their may be room for manipulation and compromise of that data. XYO will use a bidirectional system which can be used to ascertain the origin of data they collect from edge nodes. Most of the edge nodes used will be XYO devices, of which about one million are in circulation just waiting to be activated for data collection. The edge devices will be used for both data collection and authenticating the data collected. The location data from one device is authenticated by the presence of other devices within the same area. XYO calls this the Bound Witness from the function it performs. This is important in preventing spoofing of data that is common in the tech world.

A Proof of Origin system will also be used as a means of data authentication. Four components will be present in the platform that will control the flow of data right from collection to the conclusion made from the collected data. The four components are Sentinels, Bridges, Archivists and Diviners. Each play an important role in coming up with location data. The Sentinels are the collectors of data. The data they collect comes from edge nodes which can also be Sentinels. They authenticate the source of their data by adding their Proof of Origin for every set of data they collect. They relay this data to Bridges who also add their Proof of Origin authenticating the data that comes from the Sentinels. Bridges relay the data they have collected to Archivists. Archivists have an important function of storing data collected in as large a quantity as possible to provide Diviners with enough data that can be used to provide the most accurate location data. Diviners are the final components in the data chain. They are responsible for transforming the raw data to location data that is accurate and can be understood by those who request the data. They use the data collected by Archivists to come up with location solutions. Their accuracy increases with increase in authentic data.

XYO Network is coming when its needed most. Location data is essential for our everyday activities. Our daily runs are guided by location systems, our daily drives are also guided by our location system. However, the XYO Network will serve beyond what we are used to and this is due to their XY devices that can be attached or connected to real world things. We could be able to track anything we like through XYO Network. It could help insurance agencies track lost items that may have been stolen or lost during shipments. It could even help in tracking luggage in airports. This is usually one of the most stressful things while travelling because there is always a possibility of losing your luggage. Tracing the m would make for a much more convenient travel. XYO Network may also serve fleet management. Taxi companies and other car hire companies may find this network very useful.

XYO Network may serve as an essential component as technology evolves. They will aid tech such as drone delivery systems, they may also be important for drone taxis that are currently being tested in Dubai among other technologies.
The XYO Network is quite appropriate in this day and age and most likely for the future too. The processes and services in the network will be incentivized such that each service performed will be paid for in tokens and those who deliver them will be paid in the XYO tokens. The platform is designed in a way that encourages all its users to transact using their tokens.
