The invention of the blockchain made a significant contribution to the development of our modern world. It is the missing component, so lacking in many processes, for example, GPS and Proof-of-Location. Although they are quite developed, security is still their weak point, as well as its speed of work. In addition, the Ethereum has acted as a Blockchain 2.0, but everyone knows that its smart contracts are far from complete perfection. But even here there are new developments that allow it to evolve and become better with every next step. If we create a symbiosis on the basis of GPS and blockchain, we get something completely different from the basics. Let's take a closer look what exactly it is meant.
XYO.Network is the first who decided to use the blockchain system as a basis for geolocation. The basic idea is to record your GPS data and process it by using a chain of blocks. This will ensure high data processing efficiency due to the high total capacity of the entire network, as well as their further safe storage. Also, the platform will use the exact time when writing data. So, we get data that is based on 4 positions (XYZ coordinates and time). The entire system will consist of 4 components.

- Sentinels, who monitor geolocation data, control and confirm it, in other words, they are "Location Witnesses".

The second component is the Bridges that receive data from the Sentinels, process and pass it to the next link, and also provide the "Proof of Origin".

Next come Archivists, who receive information and responsible for storing it until the next transfer to the last component.

Diviners stand in the last place in the chain and connect directly the users, from whom they receive various kinds of requests, with the system itself, which provides the GPS data. In short, this is the collection of information, retransmission of data, storage of information, and special aggregates for responding to platform requests.

The big advantage for the platform is its "foundation." XY has its own fully operational GPS system since 2012. The team calls it the largest in the world, and it is fully justified, they have more than 1 million sensors at their disposal. They also release their own XY4 + device, which has already been gradually transferred to work with the blockchain. In general, there are many areas for application of this idea. Firstly, there is an unconditional advantage for delivery services due to much more reliable and accurate tracking for both the seller and the buyer. Like many other platforms, XYO.Network runs its own token compatible with ERC20. The team starts selling on March 20, where you can use the Ethereum as a payment. The price will start at 100000 XYO per 1 ETC and then it will go down to 33333. As usual, the token will be used to operate the platform economy (for example, paying to the miners or accessing the system functions). After the end of the main sales, all unsold tokens will be eliminated.
