My Monero (xmr) thoughts. Why should everyone use it?

This past week has been pretty intesting for the monero cryptocurrency and its community. In only ten days monero has growth almost 3 times and is now showing a pretty good support zone at 130$. This price pump was caused because of monero entering new markets including the current number one korean exchange Bithumb, monero liquidity and volume has increased considerably attracting more and more investors. This pump has caused monero to be at his ath worldwide interest according to google trend (https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?q=monero).

I do not think that monero will replace bitcoin in the future but it sure has potential to do it since it offers a great privacy feature and there is a lot of hype around the currency, some call monero the 'Real Money' or digital cash, there is even a monero hard fork coming soon that is designed to better monero blockchain.

Some people is scared at the word hardfork as it has created so much controversy around bitcoin's ecosystem but do not panic, Monero has a much smaller dev team making it much easier to reach consensus, Xmr has had a hardfork  every 6 months, but will be less frequent going forward. So, for monero a hard fork just means new features and bug fixing. There wont be a monero cash or monero classic, at least not for now.

All this being said, I believe that monero is still undervalued and could reach 300$ in december easily. Everyone says that monero its only for criminal activity but that its not true, privacy is very important and everyone should be interested on it as it facilitates protecting your money and your indentity from the internet. I want to be able to do transactions and be confident that nobody can see how much money I have or how much money I am sending. Also monero's cryptonote protocol hides the sender ip which is great too.  The devs working on monero are doing a great job and working hard to improve monero ecosystem. It is our job as a part of the community to help them and spread the word of the future, if we want monero to take us to the moon we have to do our part too.

But, what can you do using monero right now? 

1. You can pay to any site that accept bitcoin payments using https://xmr.to/  with the strong anonymity provided by Monero.
2. You can trade it using one of the many exchanges where monero is listed. I would recommend to buy and hold for at least september. (I expect the price to reach 200 this month.)
3. This week was launched a new platform inspired in localbitcoin called localmonero (https://localmonero.co/), It is still too new to have that many payment options as localbtc has but It has the potential to gain a lot of popularity.
4. You can play an online dice game at: https://monerodice.net
5. And of course buying drugs and doing some criminal activity (not recommended).
