Xmax - An update on the entertainment blockchain.
This article is going to serve as a brief overview of the updates that the Xmax team have been working on for the past couple of weeks, mainly focusing on some of the ones that I think will have the most impact, or are the 'major' updates so to speak.
First of all, if you're new to the Xmax project, you're probably thinking 'Updates? What even is XMAX about in the first place'?, well let's take brief look into the project and their aims.
What is Xmax?
In a time where most people own multiple internet connect devices, and the average home will have between 5 and 10 IoT devices/appliances, it was only natural that blockchain would find a way to combine the two into a single solution. Now if you factor into this, the gaming industry, a multi-billion dollar industry that impacts nearly everyone, from mobile phone applications, to consoles and PC's, most people will play games in some shape or form. This is where XMAX is hoping to step into the market. Focusing on the entertainment and gaming sector, they are hoping to create a chain that not only makes it easy for prospective devs to be able to develop apps, using the pre-made multimedia libraries of content and code, but a platform that is able to support the load and strain that a large volume of users would bring by combining their main-chain with side-chains which when put together operate on multiple consensus mechanisms to create a high concurrency, high TPS multi-chain system to allow for the creation of high-performance entertainment DAPPs.
Simply put, Xmax will be creating a platform that will centre around gaming and entertainment, and using various means of load balancing and side-chains, will be able to handle the load brought to it from a popular DAPP. (Think ETH and the CryptoKitties incident for an example of high-load brought to a chain in a very small space of time) while ensuring it is easy for even the budding devs to be able to produce content on the chain.

Onto the news!
One of the first updates is that in moving forward with the project, the Xmax team decided to do some re-branding, and as a result, have decided on a new logo that more symbolises the ambitions of the team. In their own words, they beleive that 'The new logo symbolises the wings of a great bird traversing a vast sea, the boundless ocean of blockchain development. With wisdom and the courage to forge through storms and explore uncharted territory, the “X” symbolises the possibilities we can reach only after exceeding our limits and exploring our world. The three purple lines represent XMAX, and the six blue lines represent the XMAX ecosystem, which will become a new vision for the blockchain entertainment industry.'
HuoBi Korea’s Huobi Carnival
In keeping in line with the teams fantastic record with attending events and meeting with the community, the Xmax team will be present at the Huobi Carnival in Korea, this even is taking place over August 2nd and August the 3rd, held at the Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas, in Gangnam-gu, South Korea.
This is a fantastic chance to get to meet the Xmax team in person and ask any queries that you may have of the team. If you can't make it like many of us can't the team will be posting videos and updates throughout the event, so those of us in different timezones who are unable to make the event will still be able to keep up with the news as it happens!

Exchanges
The first question that alot of people seem to have when entering a new project is 'What exchanges is the project available on?' As of the publishing of this article, Xmax is currently available to trade on a total of 13 different exchanges across a variety of markets. (there are other decentralised exchanges, but these are unofficial listings not supported by the team) The following are the official partner exchanges: Huobi HADAX, OTCBTC, BJEX, FCoin, DDEX, Dididu, and 3EX. The non-official partner exchanges are ABCC, Hotbit, CoinX, SyeX, MEXC, and Global (in no particular order).
As of this article, XMAX is currently doing fantastic on the markets, up a total of 19%:
According to CoinMarketCap, there has been a 24 hour volume of $1,609,246 however it appears that they are only listing twoof the 13 exchanges mentioned above, so the actual 24 hour volume is probably close to 10x this figure.
Community Management
As well as working on their brand and attending as many conferences and events as they can locally, the XMAX team are looking to work on expanding their brand name and social media channels overseas, as of this article they have some impressive numbers and updates:
-The members of the English Telegram community increased to 24236 (increased by 4539 members)
- 1,019 Redditors follow XMAX on Reddit (increased by 4 Redditors).
- 524 people currently follow XMAX on Twitter (official English account).
- 6 articles were published on Reddit, Medium, CCN & Steemit (for a total of 36 articles).
- 2,965 total claps on their English Medium blog posts.
As you can see it looks like their marketing team are doing a great job of expanding their brand overseas, and will continue to do so.
