- Necessary Noize was a Kenyan Hip Hop and Reggae group formed in 2000 originally made up of Nazizi Hirji, Wyre "The LoveChild' (Kevin Wyre) and Bamzigi (Harrison Munio). They were appreciated for their socially conscious lyrics that deal with issues affecting youth such as AIDS, drugs and politics and were seen as an antidote to the commercialisation of urban music in Kenya.
