Any suggestions on making these contests better?
It's a valid question. We definitely need more traction here. I love the concept, and the stub stories you've been putting out. The contest itself is fine, but maybe we could have a fixed 'first place' prize that you can put right into the title. Not to say that folks are money-grubbers, but I think even a minor first-place SBD prize in the title, then posted to the fiction/writing/etc tags, will attract more eyeballs. It's definitely about publicity.
I'll definitely think on that. I don't want to over-hype the reward, so I have to make it so that it's fair without the possibility of draining me if the posts don't earn enough.
