That is a huge litter!
It's amazing what good mommas dogs make. Our Italian Greyhound had three litters - the last was an accident with our chihuahua that led to the best mutts ever.
I'm thinking all of your stories are true, except maybe the chinchilla one.

Bear, our present Rottie was one of fifteen pups. He was the biggest of the litter and we paid a little extra for him.
Bigger dogs cost more? We never thought of pricing our puppies by the pound!
