That Day You Are In Rush
How many times did happen that you were in rush and you were trying to get in time to an appointment but anything you were doing was against you?
Well yesterday was my time.
I had a work appointment at 11am and I left home in time to be even 10 minutes late as I hate to be late especially if it is work related. So I started my trip and I decided to drive in town as it was long time since I drove through it.
This was my first wrong decision. I thought its almost 9am nobody will slow me down in town as everyone should be at work. Big mistake... it seemed that the whole Shropshire was driving on that road and after 3 minutes of being in the same place I reversed my car and I drove in the opposite direction.
Then I have found an old man driving a car... where the limit was 30 he was going slower than 20... when the limit was 50 he was going 35 etc... considering the kind of road we have in the countryside, I hardly take off a car because you never know what you can find when you do it.
Finally I decided to take advantage of the straight street and I pass this lovely old man. I finally start driving at the normal speed but I was already 5 minutes late. I keep driving well and I did manage to drop down to 3 minutes delay. It ok nobody will die for 3 minutes late on a 2 hours journey.
Then I found 2 cars driving like the old man before... slowing down again everything... and my delay went back to 10 minutes.... I kept driving well... then I had the luck to find a police officer blocking the only road I was supposed to take to get to my appointment. I couldn't understand why... then I saw 2 big pole (I believe for a wind turbine) transported by two lorries.
I had this abnormal transport in front of me for at least 45 minutes and I had to drive at 18 miles/h when the normal speed was supposed to be between 40 and 60 miles/h. Therefore I arrived to my appointment with 30 minutes of delay but I Was lucky that at least I managed to ring the lady and inform her I was late because the traffic.
