Exodus 1 [featuring Andrew - ITA]

on Twitter, in a recent message, the Taiwanese electronics giant HTC has announced the start of pre-sales for Exodus 1, the famous smartphone blockchain designed by the company.

As reported in the web portal dedicated to the product, the “early access” version of the device can only be purchased using Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). In particular, Exodus 1 is sold at a price of 0.15 BTC or 4.78 ETH, equivalent to about $ 960 at the time of writing this article. The shipping date is scheduled for December this year.

In the announcement the company has also unveiled that it will work closely with “a community of developers and enthusiasts […] to continue improving safety”.

Exodus 1 was revealed to the public in May this year. At the time HTC promised that the phone would support “numerous blockchain protocols”, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Lightning Network and Dfinity Metwork, as well as a universal cryptocurrency portfolio.

In July, the company also confirmed that the device would also allow it to play CryptoKitties, the popular decentralized Ethereum-based application. The following month Charlie Lee, founder of Litecoin (LTC), said he would provide advice during the design of the smartphone.

However, as evidenced by the US information portal The Verge, it does not seem to be present all the functions originally promised by the company. The model available for preorder actually has a wallet for secure cryptocurrency and “protected by Android OS”, but it seems missing many of the features listed in recent months.
