WK Poetry #004: The Closest We Came To Nuclear War
October 16th
He sat with a decision to make; every human life was at stake,
Should they attack now or wait? Diplomacy may be the right mistake
Either way we had the bait without the fisherman knowing
Inferred photos showing 13 days remain at the rate they were going

President meets with Russian “friends” never slowing the scam
How do you play your cards without ever showing your hand?
How do you stay hard against warmongers blowing your plan?
Two weeks deciding if the future is thriving or never growing again!
October 22nd
“My Fellow Citizens,
We’ve been investigating a situation evolving with Russian implication
Positioned missiles instigating to erase 80 million Americans in our nation
Nuclear strike capability in this hemisphere is something that we should fear
Something we’re not willing to see happen here, let me make this part very clear
It’s without hesitation we stop all weapon infiltration. Start a Quarantine.
Dismantle missile stations for the world to see and leave this foreign sea.
Russia, you must recede, no time for slack. Resist and you’ll justify our attack
Our response will be swift, we won’t hold back. I pray it doesn’t come to that.”
October 25th
Quarantine in place, nervous soldiers wait as Russian ships are on their way
Two race to cross the line and test fate, but there’s something under the waves
A sonar bleep, a Russian Sub 20 meters deep, guarding the ships from the fleet
President gives the order, the Captain repeats; arm the torpedoes, DEFCON 3
Advisors silence is deafening, the scene is depressing, attacking was unforeseen
Ready to go green, message received, reconvene, “Ships turning and submarine!"
“Hold Your Fire!” The president screamed.
Just in time!!! The President breathed… and so did we.
October 28th
Report: missiles are operational; the Joint Chiefs are increasingly confrontational.
A break in the irrational, back channel communication, top spy, a Russian national.
“Never invade, never aid a nation’s attempt to raid, then agreement could be made!”
2 hours, FBI slaved to prove the message relayed, finally verified with a high grade.
The contact and offer were not fake but real, it was agreed they would make the deal
Sign & seal. Who will deliver the appeal? The President’s brother will take the wheel.
He knew the inning, he’d been here before, he knew the players, he knew the score
Told the Ambassador like never before; take the deal because we are prepared for war
October 29th
These were man made problems, and peace was made through man made solutions.
In the end, Kennedy sat resolute at the resolute desk thankful for the resolutions.
The sun rose, men of good will won beyond a shadow of a doubt! Let heaven sing out!
Shadows never seen out when peace has clout, they wait for Dallas 'til shots ring out!
