Too many Steemit articles

in #writing7 years ago (edited)

Some people believe there are too many publications in this platform speaking about the site itself, perhaps some of them feel like they can't make money unless they talk about Steemit. This is not true , but I wish to make a few observations that may clarify why people would want to speak about this technology.

There are estimates that suggest that more than 1 billion people live on less than one dollar a day, when you consider that it becomes easier to understand how so many would feel like showing gratitude to a system that allows them to have a better life, be able to feed their children, etc.

We're talking about a website that is paying people for simply sharing their ideas but it doesn't stop there, it also pays them to evaluate other people's work. A platform that allows you to profit from giving likes, votes, a click, is unheard of and quite revolutionary.

While making money on Steemit is simple, understanding the technology that is built on requires more effort. It is necessary that people speak about if they wish to understand it. When we consider that many are able to survive thanks to Steemit it becomes obvious why they'd want to understand how the system works in its entirety.

There are also those who see Steemit as an investment opportunity, they too have an interest in knowing the ins and outs of this platform.

It's important to also mention that investors have an interest in others seeing the potential in this system which in turn gives them reason to reward those who make this type of information available.

Steemit is not just about making money, a lot of people join because they are tired of the censorship seen everywhere else on the Internet. Steemit is a refuge, it's understandable people would want to spread the word about a place where they feel free to speak their minds.

Changes are often made to improve the technology, when things are no longer what they were new information needs to be put out there so that people can stay informed.

In my opinion there aren't enough articles about Steemit yet. We're barely one year old, this is just getting started. Steemit is changing lives for the better and the fact that people are willing to recognize it is a good sign of humanity.

I think once the filtering options get better that it will be easier to opt out of the posts about topics that you don't care about.

Yes! We desperately need the ability to Follow/Mute tags.

The lack of censorship is what sold me on joining Steemit a year ago, the fact that you can gain cryptocurrency is just an amazing bonus :)

I am happy to see lots of articles about steemit! Often, they answer a question before I even think to ask it. It helps me to learn.

I wonder how many people do not post about steemit simply because they think of themselves as inexperienced. I am definitely guilty of doing that. :D

In reality, I have a lot of knowledge that complete newbies would appreciate. The more experienced users will be grateful that they do not have to answer lots of basic questions. In the worse case, if I'm wrong, someone will point it out. At least I would have learned something.

In other words, even a newbie can write good, steemit related blogs. :)

Awesome, this was a very good read, couldn't agree more. Let the articles roll!!:-)

Irronic, a post about steemit, because of too many posts about steemit..

I agree though
