Very informative post, especially for those of us new to Steemit. You mention the importance of curation trails. I've heard a lot about these, but it not always clear how to get on them or find appropriate trails to try to get onto. Any advice on how to do this?

Look for trending topics in the area you write about. Find popular articles. Click the down arrow of upvotes. The top names have the highest payouts. Follow them.
