Preppers Blog #Love Thy Neighbor
We prep because we want to be able to provide for our families in an emergency situation. We learn skills. We store things needed to sustain life. We attempt to build community. We train to become proficient with different kinds of firearms and we store ammo for those firearms.
Providing defense for ourselves, our families and our loved ones is very important. Can you by that guy or gal? When someone comes to bring ill will to your home or camp, do you have what it takes to make the hard decisions? Could you take a life if and when it becomes necessary?
I know everyone wants to believe that they can. Heck, I want to believe that I can too. But how do we know? I mean really know? Are you a battle hardened combat vet? I'm not. I like to think that if someone is coming to bring physical harm to my wife or an innocent in my charge, that I could take life in that situation. I still really don't know though, do I?
What if that person is only coming to steal a few chickens to feed their starving children. Is the killer instinct going to come out then? Let's get as many people on board with understanding the need to prepare so that there will be fewer people in that position when the time comes. Do you have enough preps stored up for you and yours? If so, great. How about continuing to store for others. For neighbors or friends who don't understand.
In the Bible in the book of Matthew, chapter 22, verses 37 through 39 reads "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Who is Jesus referring to when he speaks of thy neighbor? When Joseph had a dream in which God revealed to him the need to store up corn for the three and a half year famine that was coming, what did Joseph do? Did he store enough corn for some people, and kill anyone else who came starving to eat? No, he stored enough corn for the entire land. I know we as individuals can not feed everybody. I get it. But let's do our best to share our vision of the need to survive what I believe may be coming to this nation. Let's do our best to equip our neighbor with the understanding to do what they need to do to prepare for their families and loved ones.
In the end, the more people that there are prepared means there will be less people that are ill prepared.

This is a perfect example of determining self-protection and what harm the person may actually mean to you or your family. Every instance must have a crucial thinking process of harm and future retaliation.
I would like to try to concentrate my efforts into preparing to be able to help others as much as I can instead of just prepping to defend against others. I do know that there must be a balance there. One will never be able to store enough to help everyone and at the same time many of those who come wont want help. They only want to take everything, so defense must be a priority,,again balance. I think it just comes down to the aspect of community..Build it now. The more people we have in our tribe, the better off we will be all the way around...Thanks for reading and commenting

STOPYes there is prepping for supplies. I did two blogs on that a long time ago and need to do another one. THEN there is spiritual prepping. What good is prepping for amo medical supplies and 25 shelf life food if you have not been nourished with the spiritual food of Jesus Christ. Good article my friend.
