An Abstract Noun

Then he stated, "Don't we know
How much you love us? You don't
Need to show;
Through actions or your
Words.
We all know it well enough."
And I laughed, "Daddy dear,
These are not words
You tell to a poet; we
Need our words to create
A wonder, express ourselves
And let it go."

But in my heart, I realised,
Some relations do not need
Words.
They are meant for people
Far away
From your heart; they
Are meant for feelings you can't
Express in person,
'Cause that person is far away,
The one that does not actually deserve
The love you have for them inside.

For those who are in our heart,
And we reside in their hearts too;
They know what truely lies inside
And they love you the same.
But it takes long to realise
That love is but,
An abstract noun.
How they taught us at school
In second grade
But it took long years to
Understand.
