We all lie.

We all lie.

Be it to ourselves, our loved ones or complete strangers.

We lie as excuse. We lie as means to impress. We lie for the sake of lying.

We lie what time we left home when we are late, we lie when we wish to impress, we lie when we want to justify our decisions, we lie to keep ourselves out of trouble.

Silly enough, our lies grow in size at same pace affection does. We tell little lies to strangers, bigger to friends and the biggest of lies to ourselves.

Worse more, lies are not limited to just words. We lie with our body language, we lie with our mood, we lie with our very eyes.

Confronting the truth is the hardest thing to do. Taking blame for gaining extra weight, taking blame for not talking to that girl you liked, taking blame for... It's easier to make up an excuse.

We spend our lives running away from the truth no matter how obvious it is. We tell ourselves it's all going to be alright, despite knowing nothing will change unless we take action. We protect ourselves and our interests with lies. We protect the current »Me« with lies. We protect ourselves from change.

We tell lies. We believe lies. We live lies.

But why take my word for it? After all...

We all lie.
