The Money Tree and Its Financial Rewards -- Myth or Fact??

When we first moved our office into the Little Tokyo area of Downtown Los Angeles, our neighbors gave us a Money Tree plant as a welcome gift. They told us to take very good care of it and that as the plant thrived so would our money and business. We took care of the plant for many years as any other of our office plants without any other thought.

The Money Tree plant (Pachira aquatica) is also called the Good Luck Tree. It is considered to be an invitation to good fortune. It is the most popular plant used in feng shui and is said to bring prosperity and wealth to its surrounding areas. It is based on an old Chinese tale of an old man who prayed for money, but instead found this tree. He took it home and became prosperous selling the plants from the seeds of this tree.

I thought this was a really nice story, until one day on accident, our Money Tree was broken. I did not think much about it other than the plant had been with us for several years, and it had thrived nicely throughout that time as had our company. We repaired the plant as best we could. This was late 2008, when the financial crisis had really kicked in. Then it actually hit our Bail Bond company too, and it was like a ghost town. Money literally stopped flowing.

I did not think the plant was going to make it, just like I was not sure if we would be able to sustain our business. When the Money Tree was broken, it was literally like a switch that turned off all the money. As we repaired the plant and slowly mended it back to life our business also began to thrive as well. Granted we made business expense cuts to save money but we also saw a slow return of business. By the end of 2009 the plant had survived just like our business had made it through the roughest part of the recession. Our business and the Money Tree began to thrive. I concluded this was coincidence and nothing more.

Well it happened again. Someone accidentally broke the Money Tree, and of course during this same time, our business took another financial hit. This time the State of California passed some new laws decriminalizing many crimes, whereby some of the accused no longer needed a bail bond. This literally cut 20%-30% of our business. The Money Tree was immediately mended and slowly recovered again. So too did our company. We had to cut expenses further, eventually closing one office that was just not worth keeping open. Fortunately for our Money Tree and business, it seems that we have a knack for making the necessary repairs to keep things going.

We continue to care for our Money Tree, watching it slowly grow back again, just as our business and cash flow slowly returns. This time though, there is more respect and appreciation for both the Money Tree and our business. I don't know if it is coincidence, God or karma trying to tell me or us something, but in my mind, there is definitely something to the Money Tree. We have all learned to truly respect and appreciate the Money Tree as well as our businesses and those who help us run them. Whether there is any truth to the belief that the fi

Wow. You better take good care of the money tree. In hong kong, all the wealthy people will pay for a fung shui master to design the best setup to their office such that it will bring more fortune to them.

I am constantly learning about and very interested in the power of alignment. Maybe one day I too will have a feng shui master to further guide me.

Thanks for stopping by @wilkinshui

we got to take care of that tree, keep it out of the way of traffic and as far as that new bail reform law I doubt it will pass.

@edreno you need to get on steemit.chat

Hi! @streetstyle
There is a plant called "KANE-NO-NARU-KI" in Japan.
I was raising, but it was not a money, it was a money-out tree that needed to change to a big flowerpot so as not to kill growing trees.

hello @asim Thanks for the support. And interesting, I have never heard of that kind of tree or plant.

Have not you heard of it? . .
This. If you are a Japanese, you should have heard it.

Interesting post but the effects of the money try must either be placebo or the whole thing must be a coincidence (in my opinion)

It has happened at least 3 times so I don't know what to think to be honest @captaincanary

We have tried to nurture our money tree as well.

I hadn't made the connection before but, while it has remained relatively healthy, it, along with our business has not actually grown in size. I wonder what both need to increase in size?

Thanks for bringing it into my awareness.

If I'm successful in making it grow larger, I'll let you know what kind of "fertilizer" I used.

I am no botanist or even claim to know anything about gardening, but I would imagine a larger pot would help it grow. So maybe very carefully without damaging the roots, put the Money Tree into a bigger pot.
I also suggest reading and researching the best methods and techniques so that you have success in making your plant grow, flowed by your business. I would give the plant and business at least 6 months and then re-assess to see if it has made a difference. PLEASE post back your results and please let me know about. Thanks @theblindsquirl

We already repotted it, into a pot that allows air to get to the roots as well.

It (like our business) is healthy, bright green leaves and some new leaves, but it just doesn't seem to be getting any bigger.

Maybe the increased attention will do the trick?

BTW, upvoted, following and resteemed

Ok, well lets hope that it continues to thrive and now grow. May the best possible outcome be yours. And many thank you's for your support @theblindsquirl
