Wow. Steem Poker League. This is awesome!

Wad up ya'll it is I @alaqrab

Long, Long Ago

Back in the day when I learned how to play poker, when @bethalea was attending Nora Sterry Elementary School running the underground blackjack game for the 5th and 6th graders, I found this poker game about an hour and a half drive from my house. The reason I would drive an hour and a half to play in a poker tournament was....poker, and it was free to play. Yep. the first 500 chips were free, on the house.

Poker games in the early 2000's were just starting to pop and I had to travel some distance to find a good game. This Casino was run by the Native Americans whose main customers were old people and field workers from the farms nearby. Lot of loose social security money and fresh grown cash from under the table. You are thinking ‘how do they make money on a free poker game’, right? After you lose the 500 free chips, the first three rounds are unlimited $20 re-buys.

So after you play your first hand and AK loses to a crazy shove fest by 5 callers, you throw in a $20 bill and get a nice 1K in chips for your pocket jacks to get crushed. Some days the poker odds were in my favor and if I played it right, with a $20 add-on at the end of round 3, I could make it to the final table. Back then my tight plays got me to the final table more. Any ways.

It’s All About the Cash Games!

These "free" poker games were not hosted out of the goodness of the casinos heart, these games were to get people to play a quick tournament and kick-start the cash games. Today you can find a few places that give you cash for playing for 7-8 hours or 50 hours in a week. It's hard to find a place that will give you free cash to play a cash poker game. Feel free to prove me wrong, I would like to play at these places. I digress. Steem Poker League now has a new feature for payouts. For those who are not familiar with @SPL it is

"The Largest Cryptocurrency Freeroll Poker Site in the Universe! Free to join. Free to Play. Win some SBD playing Freerolls."

You play for free. You get paid in SBD's earned from the @spl account. All created by @tuck-fheman, and his awesome team. Pay outs come weekly if not earlier. Tournaments very from 1-50 SBD's. Not bad for a home poker game.

So ...How?

Now @SPL will let you keep your winnings and let it ride so to speak. You still get to play for free, and win SBD's. Instead of @spl rewarding you for "cashing" in a poker game. The winnings will stay in your Lucksacks.com account and be used to play in sit and go's or cash games.

To cash out now, you must enter how much you wish to cash out from the Cashier page. You may have only one open request at a time. Any potential SBD winnings you leave on the site can be used in ring games for now. Cashouts happen once per week, usually on Mondays and sometimes more than that.     https://www.lucksacks.com/Cashier

The cash games will pick up as more people gain more "cash" winnings.

Looks like you can transfer your balance...... to me ;-) .

Thank you @alaqrab and before him, @steveconnor for writing articles for @spl! If you would like to write something to help support the @spl, let me, @bethalea know! I'm on steemit.chat and here's our discord channel, I'm @bethalea there, too.
