This is the most confusing thought one could ever conceive in his/her psyche!
Have we ever sit down and begin to ponder on this?
I've personally asked myself this very question in several ocassions and wasn't able to provide a reliable answer.
And so I decided to use this social media to source and seek for one.
For this ask; I say to all teachers, tutors, instructors, lecturers, who taught those that taught those that taught those that taught those that taught those that taught those that taught those that taught those that taught those that taught you the things that you you've taught us and still teaches others today.
The truth I've been able to grab from this phenomenon is that we are who we are today because of people that guided us through in our ways via formal and informal method of enlightenment.
No one can boastful give the origin/history of teaching today without complicating the psychological reasoning of man.
To the teachers here on earth, I say a very big thank you for your effort to see that we're sensitized and inspired to reason, think, and evaluate things the way you do for the betterment of all.
Starting from the basics, you will agree with me that the first teachers ever were our parents whose directive and instructive guidelines gave us the socializing factors which we used to adapt to the family and societal methods.
But this is not enough to prove or emphatically elucidate the origin or history of teaching as a profession.
Could it be traced back to Jesus' first teaching in the temple? If yes then, why were some Jews called teachers or masters before Jesus' arrival on earth.
The fact here is that teaching is as old as the existence of the earth and even beyond the astronomical or worldly view reason being that even before the world began God has already practised it as it was by it that the formation of nature and man emerged. This also has proven that nature itself was the first scholar or student because by mere obedience to the divine instructions (#lettherebe) its formation was attained. He who began before the beginning began is the ultimate and most reliable and trustworthy teacher.

Aside the historic perspectives, it is equally salient to rationalize the importance of these people In the whole existence of all living being.
The importance of teachers, tutors, mentors and lecturers can not be overemphasised below are there impact on social, psychological physical and emotional minds of scholars:

  1. They taught us how to spell, pronounce and identify the English alphabets.
  2. We also learnt to read and write having known the basic spelling and pronouncing criteria
  3. The low esteem minded and mediocre have been transformed to potential individuals today
  4. Their effort yielded a good result as presidents, governors, ministers, ambassadors were taught by them.
  5. The teaching profession reduced the rate of crime as youth were morally and religiously sensitized as to the repercussions of such vices.
  6. The world is a better dwelling place today as a result of their impact and experienced lecturing/ teaching.
Like I said earlier it can not be over stressed this is just to mention but a few.

To our dear teachers in the world today and those far gone:
We say appreciate your unending brain work as this have transformed us today: we are now Engineers, doctors, barristers, senators, actors, actresses, professors, priests, pastors, instructors, pilots, scientist, biologist, chemist, pharmacist, bankers, etc without you, we wouldn't have been whom we are today.
May your intelligent quotient, physiognomy, physique, brilliance and wisdom be replenished as you continue to impact in the up growing ones.
THANKS
yours faithfully,
* sanctuspierre*
