The Dream Temple, part 3

The demon whispers in Peter's left ear with his low voice.

"Look at your wife, see what you have done to her!" Peter's body stiffens the moment he knows that his wife is dead. He struggles in the demon's grip, not having a clue who is behind him. "Anna, NOOOOO! " Peter screams from the top of his lungs, gasping for air as his heart becomes like stone. This must be a nightmare, this simply can't be true. His eyes water with tears, dripping down to his chin, slowly dancing down onto his lovely wife. "Look at her! See how beautiful she is!"

The demon speaks again into his ear, making Peter shiver with fear and sadness. "Please?" Peter is at lost for words, the only thing he wants is to hold his woman, lift her up in his arms. The demon takes a firm grip on Peters right wrist and pulls his arm towards Anna's face."Feel how cold she is, feel what you have done!" The demon presses Peter's hand against Anna's soft swollen cheek and laughs wickedly. "Please, stop this!" Peter's fingertips sliding over the soft and bloody skin of his wife. For a few seconds, there is nothing but silence and tears. With a low growl, the demon pulls Peter's hand away from his woman, a sharp hunting knife appears in Peter's palm.

The demon wraps his strong and filthy fingers around the knife and Peter's hand. Slowly he moves both hands towards Peter's neck. The cold of the sharp blade touching the tender flesh for a few seconds before the demon pushes it harder against the skin, little drops of blood already forming under the blade. "Welcome in HELL" The demon speaks while he pushes Peter's head forwards with his free hand, sliding his other hand to the right. The blade slicing Peter's neck with a surgeon precision, a gurgling sound coming from his throat. His warm blood pouring from the wound, covering Anna's body like a silk blanket.

The demon pushes Peter onto his wife before he jumps from the bed and stands still for a brief moment, looking at a perfect painting of pain. His eyes glowing deep red again as he fades from the bedroom into the darkness of the night. Silence in the once perfect bedroom, the white silk sheets turned into a bloody river of sadness.

A few weeks later a doorbell rings, a little girl with two cute pigtails on her head opens the door and smiles at the mailman. "Daddy, it's for you!" The girl waits at the door feeling her father's big hand on her tiny shoulder. "Special special delivery for Mister D. hawkeye!" The mailman smiles wide showing his perfect white teeth. "That's me!" The father answers and takes the small wooden box over from the mailman. "Sign here please?" The mailman holds up a small paper while Dennis puts the box on the floor. The child picks it up and walks slowly towards the kitchen. Dennis signs the paper and nods his head. "Thank you!" The mailman nods and turns around to walk back to his car.

Dennis closes the door and walks into the kitchen seeing his daughter sitting on the chair with the box in front of her on the table. "Can we open it, daddy?" She smiles and looks at her father with her sparkling blue eyes. "Yes, baby!" Dennis takes a seat next to his daughter and opens the wooden box, the scent of old filling his nostrils when he lifts the lid. Carol walks in from the living room holding baby Thomas close against her chest. Dennis and his daughter Lilly taking all kind of paper's, stones, coins from the box placing them carefully onto the table. "What is that?" Carol asks with a tired voice. " These are the things Peter left me!" Dennis looks at his wife with a faint smile on his face. He was happy to have these things, but he rather would see his friend again. "One more thing daddy!" Lilly stands on the chair and takes out a package wrapped in some old clothes. With her little fingers, she unwraps a stone like sculpture and lays it in front of her father. "Amazing!" Dennis' eyes light up as he trails his fingertips over the snake-like creature's. "Carol, This is a sculpture from an old Kandarian Dream temple, word goes it's magic!" ...

Beautiful continuation of the story @poeticsnake and further the plot becomes more interesting, well done!

I will love this to be acted in a movie

The story is very terrible. I think the source of all the chaos starts with the statue from the Kandarian dream quiz. Thank u for a nice story my friend. Enjoy your day.

I am still curious about the dream temple, because I want to know that there is much behind the dream temple
