The 8mile walk!! A walk down memory lane.
For those who seldom take a walk, walking is considered an adventure.

Probably because they often use a vehicle to move from place to place. And unfortunately they had gotten used to it on the long long.
They have to adopt the use of hover boards within their homes, when this weakness goes overboard.

walking is a form of exercise which is easy to practise and essential for weight loss.
It requires no special apparatus.

Today, I was visited by my childhood friend. we shared the same neighbourhood back in the day until I had to leave the city.

I later returned to continue at a new place, 8 miles from that vicinity.
He met me outside my home when he arrived. I was perfectly sheltered under a gazebo, busy with my laptop computer and a mug of beer.
We greeted and exchanged compliments like two teenagers. It was a swell time of flipping corks off bottle tops and commenting on general topics.
After hours of chit-chatting, he decided that it was due for him to depart.
I offered to give him a lift, but he turned it down insisting I got lazy, and to clear his doubt I must walk him home.
We set off immediately, I couldn't take the risk of facilitating his impression.
On our way to his place, he introduced other routes to me to prove he knows the area too well than I do.
We flexed our knees for nearly 30 minutes, when we arrived at his place I was tempted to ask for drink.
The neighbourhood did look a bit different from how I remember it.
The kids I left at their tender stages, were now looking all grown with beards and speaking in deep tones.
I observed every aspect of the neighbourhood with amazement and I thought the change was rapid. I could not help but wonder, how I would turn out if I never left.
Now I wasn't so keen to return to my place or the unfinished project I had started.
Something about this place had succeeded in making me feel nostalgic.
Memories unpacking themselves as every corner I gazed upon produced a flash.
Feeling an embarrassing rush of emotion, I would give anything to rewind time.
Yet I knew how impossible that would be.
Even if time machines were real inventions, I understood my funds wouldn't do much to acquire it.
All I can afford now are mere memories.
Very good bud. Looks like your hard work on writing paid off :D
Memories are all we end up with 😊
😜Yeah bud, I guess so.

I like what you did there. You didn't quietly remove the vote but also let him know where to improve. That's how you raise a kid. I hope you give him his meat when he does his chores 😉. That's how you motivate a kid. Lol. Tualeh, boss.
Sure i will @misterakpan. Steem on
Corrected. A thousand apologies!
palgiarism is not my style, nor do I relent to give credit.
This is just a mistake from my end, and I would be glad if your vote is restored
