RE: The NIGHT I almost got 'ROBBED' in a N.Y.C. SUBWAY
You’re a good storyteller. It does seem like growing up in the city results in some interesting stories to tell.

Thank you Mike...My original intent was to write interesting true stories for people who 'still' like to read; but it is not easy building a 'true' following here. We get buried very quickly by the 'cryptocoin' posts...That is why I appreciate people like you who reciprocate. Us 'new' steemians should be supporting each other a bit more than most seem to be doing. Have a really great day...Regards @averageoutsider
It does seem like attracting a true following can be tough. There are people on here that I have befriended who have never even upvoted a single one of my posts which is discouraging. But I do like the small fitness community that is here. They’ve given me a lot of support on my fitness posts which are really just short posts of my training logs. Early on I made the mistake of creating a couple of posts that I put too much effort into before I had any following whatsoever. In the future at some point, I plan on creating some longer higher quality posts. I’ve also started using a website called steemfollower.com that one of my friends on here introduced me to. It’s definitely helped me get quite a few more upvotes as well as a few more followers though I don't think it has increased my true following at all. You can research it yourself and let me know if you have any questions.
Your use of the word 'TRUE' with regard to 'followers' is an unusually keen observation, for it seems that most users of social media platforms do not understand the difference. Those who 'rate' for value consider this, and work it into their equations. Like website ratings for 'hits'...they value 'unique' hits at a higher rate. You're of the right mindset.
One can spot the 'selfish' and 'greedy' people here on steemit pretty easily. Check their comment section against their incoming voters list...Notice that the fakes rarely or never give a vote even to the positive comments given to them...Worse, when they just eat up a 'second' upvote in comments from the same people on their voting menu...
I'm starting to 'drop' those types from my following...who I added when first starting here. Have a happy day @ninjamike . Thanks again.
