RE: DEDICATED TO THE UNDERDOG - NOTES TO SELF(THOUGHT SERIES)
Nice rundown on the underdog. You know, they say that
the term underdogs came from a game played in England in which they would train dogs to attack bears. They made a betting sport and a spectacle of this. some of the dogs were trained to attack the heals and legs of the bear, while others were trained to attack the throat. The spectators would place bets on the dog that delivered the killing wound, or the last dog to be killed. Since the underdogs often died first from being trampled upon by the bear, they were unlikely to win.
I'm not sure about the truth of that, but it's an interesting concept. I believe in underdogs, but I also believe we are all blessed with abilities and opportunities relative only to us and our circumstances. The trick is in understanding those opportunities and abilities and formulating a plan to make use of them to propel us towards happiness. Notice I said happiness and not success, because success without happiness is failure but happiness even in the face of failure is success. Thanks for the thought provoking read. #thealliance
Wow, I never tried to search for the origin. although that seems possible. Thanks for reading. and yes its true success without happiness is vain.
