Who Are You?

Who are you?
I'll tell you who you are.

You are the one willing
to give up your happiness
for the sake of others,
so that for once,
they don't have to feel
the pain of being alone.

You've been chasing happiness
all your life not realising
that it had always
been there.

You wonder why
no one notices and
why you notice
everything.

You want people to ask
if you're okay but
still want to look
perfectly fine in front of everyone,
because telling anyone
might break you further.

You are the living
example of self contradictory,
lost in your own world
of never ending thoughts
and memories.
And along the way,
you realise that your
biggest enemy is
no one but your mind.

It had always been your mind.
