So Same Yet So Different || Like a Marvel and DC||

So Close yet so Far // So Same yet so Different

You are like a Marvel and DC movie to me.
And I needed you like
the Joker needs Batman.
We'll see each other
but we won't meet, you know.

You're like the finishing line
and I am the race.
You're like the person
who'll say
"We need to see everything"
and I am the one
"who just wants to stay in the moment".

You were different,
and I was the clichéd
nonchalant person.
We were rebels of our own kind.

And somehow,
we both had a different finishing line
that we had to reach.

So how could our paths be the same?
Everything was covered,
under the clichéd line saying
"everything will be fine".

I didn't hold on for long, did I?

I left because that's how
the Batman and the Joker are.
The Joker always leaves after a while.
Because at times,
it's better to leave before one gets left.
And at one time,
we'll think about how everything was.
And how you might need
all that you had.
And somewhere between
the fine line of needs
and wants, we'll move on.

Slowly, but we will.
